Beginning reading - Word matching

Objective

Program guides clients towards exact reading. Client searches for the same depictions of words while he uses previous experience with matching of letters and syllable. Exact reading is enforced as the client is also offered pseudo-words, differing from the correct answer only in one letter.

Program is meant for pre-school children or children with specific learning disabilities and patient with aphasia that start to adopt, or need to support the basic reading skills.

How to work with the programm

A randomly selected word is displayed in the centre of working area (along with the picture) and several words in smaller font size next to it, at least one of them the same as the larger one in the centre. Patient's task is to point to the same word from the smaller ones as is the one in the centre.

Depending on the program settings the application will pronounce the word at the beginning and also after clicking on the word.
